Mark has been working in the biology field for over 15 years with experience in New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Mark is a member of both the College of Applied Biology and the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists. Mark completed his Bachelor’s degree of Environmental Science at the University of Guelph and his Master of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick. His research for his Master’s degree focused on utilizing retention patches in logging clear cuts to “lifeboat” vascular and non-vascular plants and promote recolonization. Although his specialty is vegetation, he has diverse knowledge in a variety of fields including wetlands, fish and fish habitat, wildlife and bird biology, water quality, and hydrology. Mark is based in Fort St. James BC, where he and his family enjoy sailing scenic Stuart Lake in the summer months.
