Project Description:

Ecofor was contracted by the Village of Haines Junction to evaluate the potential for significant metal subsurface refuse in two target areas, believed to have been previously used as a dump. In addition, Ecofor conducted a concrete inspection of the village’s community centre floors and basement, in efforts to determine the depth and consistency of the concrete foundation, as well as to determine the presence or absence of rebar within the concrete.

Assessment of the target areas and community centre took place in February of 2017. Despite thorough scanning through the target areas, no significant, large, metal subsurface refuse was identified during the assessment. Our team was also able to determine the presence of consistent, tightly packed rebar within the concrete community centre floors.
